MALE.
Face pale yellow, a wide medial vitta; gena, front, vertex, scutum and scutellum fully shining bluish black. Abdomen obscurely shining black, second tergum sub-translucent yellowish brown. Pile of scutum and pleuron microscopically short, save for white flecky pile on transverse suture and at junction of third and fourth abdominal terga.

MALE.
Head: Face concave, slightly produced on lower half, without facial tubercle, yellow, black ventrally, with medial black vitta, yellow pilose; lunule black, rugose; frons black, pale pilose; broadly dichoptic, eye bare, with facets on inner margin orangish and with medial crease with enlarged facets; vertex distinguished from frons by sulcus; vertical triangle black, black pilose; antenna black, scape long, more than 4 times the pedicel length; basoflagellomere very long, about 1.5 to 2 times scape length; occiput black, pale pilose in a single row, black pile subdorsally.
Thorax: Scutum dark brown, with short, appressed yellow pile; postpronotum yellowish, appearing bare; scutellum short, dark brown; subscutellar fringe absent. Pleuron dark brown, anterior anepisternum and metasternum appearing bare; posterior anepisternum pilose; katepimeron bare; calypter brownish; plumula absent; halter brownish-yellow. Posterocoxal bridge complete. Wing: Wing membrane hyaline, yellow-brownish medially on anterior margin; extensively bare basally; vein R4+5 with an appendix extending into cell R4+5. Legs: Entirely dark brown.
Abdomen: Strongly petiolate, tergum 2 narrower than thorax (more than 10 times longer than broad in the narrowest medial point), terga 3 and 4 forming a club. Brown, tergum 2 lighter (orangish-brown), with short, appressed white and dark pile.
