notes
Nael Evenhuis: One included species: Myxogasteroides nigripennis (Sack), gender is M | Doug Yanega : Myxogasteroides is M under the Code, and it doesn't make sense that Paramixogasteroides is F, since it is based on the former name, with no change of suffix. This is especially odd as both are by the same author. In this case, strict application of the Code creates a conflict, and I hate that sort of thing. Personally, I suspect that Shiraki intended both names to be feminine, since Mixogaster is feminine. I would prefer, though I can't justify it, to consider Myxogasteroides to be F. That said, it appears that Myxogasteroides is not valid, so its gender is irrelevant, and we don't need to worry about its gender assignment.
