Descriptions
Diagnostic description
♀ 2nd abdominal segment 4 times as long as wide at the back; 3rd segment about 5 times as long as wide at the front; about 3 times as wide at the back as at the front. Abdomen brownish ochre-yellow with strong streaking. Wing base fairly expanded (especially towards the back) ochre-yellow. Legs solid ochre-yellow. Body length 10 mm, wing length 8 mm. Cameroon (Mokundange), June 1–15, 1905, 1 ♀, Dr. Günther Tessmann S.
Original description
Ptileuria flavibasis n. sp. ♀ 2. Segment des Abdomens 4 mal so lang wie hinten breit; 3. Segment etwa 5 mal so lang wie vorn breit; hinten etwa 3 mal so breit wie vorn. Abdomen bräunlich ockergelb mit kräftiger Striemenzeichnung. Flügelbasis ziemlich ausgedehnt (besonders nach hinten zu) ockergelb. Beine einfarbig oekergelb. Körperl. 10 mm, Flügell. 8 mm. Kamerun (Mokundange), 1.—15. 6, 1905, 1 ♀, Dr. Günther Tessmann S.
