A small, somewhat stocky species with only a slightly narrowed second abdominal ring.
Head shiny black, forehead steel blue, shiny, the sides of the face from the base of the antennae dusted with white and hairy; antennae dark brown. Thoracic back and scutes shiny black, very fine whitish hairy, the sides of the thorax with thicker white protruding hair.
Abdomen shiny black, the base of the third, fourth and fifth rings bluish white iridescent, the first ring has long protruding hairs on the sides, the rest of the surface covered with very fine protruding, closely trimmed whitish hairs; the second abdominal ring gradually tapers towards the back and is no longer than the third ring.
Legs predominantly light yellow; all hips and thigh rings black; on the front and middle legs the base of the thighs is black up to almost the middle, the hind legs are black up to the tip, the hind tibias are decorated with a blackish middle ring.
Scales and wing tips are light yellow.
Wings are glass-clear, the marginal mark is slightly browned, the third longitudinal vein is gently curved.
There is only a single, but well-preserved male. The species differs from Baccha claripennis Lw. by the dark antennae and the coloring of the legs, from B. vittata Wied. by the water-clear wings, from B. flavicornis Lw. by the differently colored legs and the lack of the dark tip marks on the wings.

Eine kleine, etwas gedrungene Art mit nur wenig verschmälertem zweitem Hinterleibsringe.
Kopf glänzend schwarz Stirn stahlblau, glänzend, die Seiten des Gesichts von der
Fühlerbasis herab weiss bestäubt und behaart; Fühler dunkelbraun. Brustrücken und Schildchen schwarz glänzend, sehr fein weisslich behaart, die Brustseiten mit stärkerer weisser abstehender Behaarung.
Hinterleib schwarz glänzend, die Basis des dritten, vierten und fünften Ringes
bläulich weiss schillernd, der erste Ring an den Seiten lang abstehend behaart, die übrige Fläche mit sehr feiner abstehender, kurz geschorener weisslicher Behaarung bekleidet;
der zweite Hinterleibsring nach hinten allmählig verjüngt
und nicht länger als der dritte Ring.
Beine vorherrschend hellgelb; alle Hüften und Schenkelringe schwarz; an den
Vorder- und Mittelbeinen die Schenkelbasis bis nicht ganz zur Mitte schwarz, die Hinterschenkel bis auf die Spitze schwarz, die Hinterschienen mit schwärzlichem Mittelringe geschmückt.
Schüppchen und Schwinger hellgelb.
Flügel glashell, das Randmal schwach gebräunt, die dritte Längsader sanft geschwungen.
Es liegt nur ein einziges, aber wohlerhaltenes ♀ vor Die Art unterscheidet sich von Baccha claripennis Lw. durch die dunklen Fühler und die Färbung der Beine, von B. vittata Wied. durch die wasserklaren Flügel, von B. flavicornis Lw. durch die anders gefärbten Beine und den Mangel der dunklen Spitzenmakel der Flügel.
